CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Objectives:

Co-curricular activities are equally important and they supplement and compliment academic activities. The broad objectives of CCA are outlined as follows.

  • Inculcation of various types of values among the children.
  • Building the personality of the children.
  • Involving children in the school activities.
  • Creating we-feeling and brannualhood.
  • Providing vocational experience.
  • Promoting the spirit of healthy competition.
  • Helping children to choose their future occupation.
  • Create teacher- student interaction.
  • Teaching children certain topics of their academics in informal environments.
  • Developing and channelizing mental and spiritual potentials of the children.
  • Developing, nourishing and recognizing the creativity of the children.

Planning, Organization and Execution::

All co-curricular activities are to be conducted under the authority of the CCA in-charge. All House Masters and Associate House Masters are invariably the members of the CCA Committee. However, different subject clubs may actively involve in certain co-curricular activities that come under the purview of their clubs. In such cases the CCA in-charge is the sole coordinator of the programme.

Details of co-curricular activities to be conducted:

A list of CCA activities are outlined that are supposed to be planned and executed during the session 2008-09. The dates and timings of the inter house competitions and club activities are included in the activity calendar elaborately.
